Florida DBPR requires licensed home inspectors to renew their license every two years before July 31st. To renew your license, take InterNACHI's free, online Continuing Education courses that are approved by Florida. According to the DBPR Rule, Florida-licensed home inspectors are required to complete at least fourteen (14) hours of Continuing Education credits prior to the expiration of their license. Twelve (12) hours must be based on the components of a home ("General"), and two (2) hours must be based on hurricane wind mitigation ("Hurricane"). We recommend taking InterNACHI's free, online Wind Mitigation Course to fulfill those state CE requirements.
InterNACHI's free, online How to Perform Wind Mitigation Inspections Course, #0000059, is approved by DBPR for 16 hours (14 of "General" and 2 hours "Hurricane"). You are permitted retake this course even if you have taken it for renewal in the past.
